Te tūnga | The role
The Advisor - Learning & Development reports to the Manager Information Management in the Data, Information, and Publishing Services Unit (DIPS). The role is primarily responsible for designing, building, managing and rolling learning offerings from DIPS.

Working with the SME's in data, information or publishing technology, the Advisor is expected to have experience in translating or guiding these specialised fields into easily absorbed learnings for our stakeholders. We are looking for someone to provide advice on the best fit for end-to-end delivery of DIPS training offerings as well as ensuring essential learning is happening and the content is relevant and keeps pace with changes in the organisation.

The DIPS team is responsible for building capability around the following areas:

- Writing, editing, and publishing for the web.
- Information and knowledge management including use of Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Data management frameworks, processes and systems including data publishing.

Although this role is based in the DIPS unit rather than in our Learning and Development team, the Advisor will work alongside that team to ensure that our offerings are well aligned with Stats NZ's learning and development strategy and practices.
