Mō te tūnga | About the role The position sits within the Land Acquisition and Development Group comprising commercial, development and property management professionals.' Land Acquisition and Development Group operates two programmes, Land for Housing and Build Ready Developments and drives the delivery of housing by working with councils, iwi, and developers.. The work is varied, stimulating, and challenging. This is a unique principal advisory role that will see you work strategically across the business and partner with the Managers of the programmes to contribute to the development of the strategic approach and work programmes.. There is a focus on identifying emerging trends, risks and opportunities and provide thought leadership for your area. The role ensures the team delivers quality work, improvement of processes and lead responses for solution design and ensuring activities are aligned to the programmes' priorities. You will work report to the Managers of each programme, delivering timely advice and professional support in accordance with established Ministry frameworks. Utilising your commercial and policy acumen, you will advise the team on relevant developments and economic, political and social issues within the housing sector and develop initiatives in relation to implementation of organisational priorities.' The salary range for this role is $137,507 - $168,065 + 3% Kiwisaver contribution. Ō'wheako, ō pukenga | About you This is not your typical principal advisory public sector role. You will bring a broad skillset to lead, contribute to, and deliver on key strategic initiatives to support government housing policy objectives, while supporting others to do the same. You may come from a central government, local government, property, regulatory, or related sector. You will be a skilled and nuanced relationship builder, comfortable working alongside iwi housing providers, wider sector, and senior leadership. You will be confident working in a commercial related area and navigating the complexities of the public sector environment. What you'll bring to the role, expertise in:
