**The company**:
Our client was founded 30 years ago as international and national meetings specialists, but since then, has broadened their skillset to include awards management, international bids, and corporate events. Today, a reputable company based in Mount Eden, they specialise in organising large medical and scientific meetings, exhibitions and Government conferences throughout Australasia and Asia.
**The role**:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant/Administrator to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately initiating and recording transactions for their operations in New Zealand and Australia. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will uphold the integrity of their accounting records while ensuring the satisfaction of their stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
Location: Mt Eden
Duration: Full-time permanent position

**Duties**:
- Accounts Payable: Code and record supplier invoices, prepare payment batches, handle supplier queries, and process employee expenses.
- Credit Cards: Code and record transactions, reconcile credit card statements, and facilitate cash flow optimisation.
- Accounts Receivable: Ensure timely distribution of sales invoices and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Client Funds: Record credit card and direct payments accurately.
- Bank Accounts: Reconcile bank statements, ensure daily reconciliation, and promptly address any discrepancies.
- Administration: Undertake project work as required to support our finance operations.
**About you**:
- Previous experience in a similar role as an Accounts Assistant/Administrator.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting/business with a drive to advance your accounting career.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
