We are looking for a Full-Time Accounts Receivable Officer to join our growing Finance team, in our JUCY Headquarters in Parnell.

This is an exciting role for someone with accounts experience looking to work for a well-known company within a great team.

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the duties for this role are maintaining the processing for the accounts receivable functions. This is a full-time role 40 hours per week with extra hours at month end with some flexibility around times of work as well as some working-from-home opportunities.

**About the role and responsibilities - duties include**:
**Accounts Receivable**:

- Ensuring the timely issuing of invoices to agents and other customers and up-to-date agent statements.
- Collection of overdue amounts owed by Agents.
- Delivering on the sales promise (i.e. collecting the cash) with a professional approach and attitude to credit control.
- Updating the booking system and accounting system for Agent receipts.
- Agent reconciliations to remittance advice.
- Journal entries to allocate Agent payments to the correct business unit.
- Maintaining the integrity of customer/agent master data.
- The effective resolution of any discrepancies/issues relating to Agent accounts.
- Ensuring excellent communication with known issues with respect to invoicing regarding rates, Agent incentives and coordinating with the Sales team.
- Providing forecast Agent payment inputs to management for inclusion in the daily cashflow forecasts.
- Managing multiple business unit ledgers.
- General administration tasks are managed in an efficient and timely manner including but not limited to reporting and filing.
- The successful applicant will need to participate in finance-related process improvements where issues are identified and be an active contributor to the finance team.

**To get through the doors, you'll need**:

- 3 years + of experience in an accounts receivable capacity
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Systems experience in both booking/reservations and accounting software (SAP knowledge would be ideal but not essential)
- Prior experience with Journal entries and reconciliations
- Accuracy and high attention to detail are essential
- Experience in Tourism or Hospitality is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- A proactive approach to identify problems before they become urgent
- NZ working rights (This role is not able to be sponsored)
