We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, highly professional Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our clinical team at Te Puawaitanga - Infant, Child, Youth Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Te Puawaitanga is a multi-disciplinary team who provide specialist mental health care for those with serious mental health and addiction problems and provide consultation and liaison with primary care partners for those with mild to moderate concerns. The team cover the areas of Manukau, Manurewa, Papakura and across the Franklin region. You will work mainly from our base at Springs Road East Tamaki, but can also have the opportunity to work from Papakura and Pukekohe locations.
Our community is diverse and culturally rich, there are many opportunities to use your talents as a Clinical Nurse Specialist to support excellent work undertaken.
You will have a role in the assessment, treatment and support of tamariki, rangitahi (aged 4-18 years) presenting with mental health concerns and their whanau. The Clinical Nurse Specialist role models best practice and supports high standards of care by supporting an environment where excellence can flourish. Working closely alongside the nurse lead and wider leadership team you would be involved in organisational development, clinical leadership, actively contributing to service policy, procedure and service development.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be highly organised, and have honesty, integrity and professionalism. You will need to have a keen interest in the professional development of nurses, the on-going development of service and quality service user care and a genuine focus on improving health outcomes for tamariki, rangitahi and their whaanau.
As the Clinical Nurse specialist, you will be fully supported with a range of professional development activities. You will also be surrounded by a strong leadership team working with you to achieve shared goals. **Essential**:
Registered Nurse with current NZ Annual Practising Certificate with scope of practice for Mental Health
Evidence of further professional development
Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in relevant clinical area completed or in progress
Current Proficient or Expert PDRP
a minimum of 5 years clinical experience is required
A full NZ Driver's Licence with no limitations
