**Job Duties**:

- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with Asian food suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions for procurement contracts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our network of Asian food suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain high standards of product quality and service.
- Coordinate with our warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient receipt and storage of imported food products.
- Analyze market trends and consumer demand to make informed purchasing decisions and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Stay updated on food safety regulations and certification requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Finance or a related field.
- Preferred work experience in purchasing, import/export operation, taxation, administration, trade or management.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external teams.
- Desirable multilingual proficiency, particularly in Asian languages such as Chinese, Malay, Vietnamese or Hindi.
