Swasti Central Limited T/A Night n Day Taranaki Street, is a bustling 24-hour convenience store located in the heart of Wellington Central. Our mission is to provide essential groceries, snacks, beverages, and household items to customers around the clock. We aim to offer convenience, affordability, and excellent customer service, ensuring that our customers' needs are met in a friendly and accessible environment.

We are looking for multiple people to work as a **Retail supervisor** for our company.
- **The employee’s task and duties include, but are not limited to the following**:_

**Stock Management**:

- Assist the Director/Manager/Supervisor in making a full list of all stock, maintain stock levels and determine how popular an item is before ordering new stock
- Receiving and checking orders from suppliers to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure correct and accurate invoicing of ordered products.
- Ensure stock is properly priced and displayed.

**Maintaining Files/Reports**:

- Completing daily turnover report
- Complying with Night 'N Day accounting functions
- Sending required reports to head office in a timely manner
- Preparing, sorting and storing documents and confidential files clearly and accurately.
- Ensuring that employee documents such as the employment/casual contracts and taxation documents are maintained accurately and updated frequently.

**Customer Service Management**:

- Answer the company phone in a friendly and engaging way.
- Meet and greet customers and state that they can ask you for further assistance if necessary.
- Maintaining correct point of sale pricing and ensuring advertised prices match POS
- Ensuring scanning procedures are adhered to
- Balancing point of sale shifts and completing banking and reports
- Monitoring the event log, over-ring and error-correct transactions
- Communicating with customers to review the quality of products and service and noting any questions or concerns they may have.
- Dealing with customer complaints in a satisfactory way.

**Food Preparation**:

- Assist in food production including but not limited to: sandwiches, filled rolls, salads, café styled serve over deli range, slices, muffins and other varied food lines.
- Maintain Night ‘n Day Food stores to the required standards.

**Security**:

- Ensure that the store is opened and closed with compliance to security procedures in place.
- Review, edit and maintain security procedures to ensure that the store is secure at all times.
- Ensure that product sales with conditions such as the sale of cigarettes is done so with compliance to laws and regulations in place.
- Train employees in the store’s security procedures.

**Assist Owner/Supervisor**:

- Assist the Owner/Supervisor with the day to day running of the store.
- Assist in staff hiring, training and supervision as required.
- Assist in preparing rosters as required.
- assisting in establishing the shop's most efficient product mix in order to maximise sales, by setting prices and selecting suppliers
- Assisting in determining best practices for purchasing and marketing
- Ensuring always appropriate stock levels are maintained by completing the four-monthly stock takes and additional stock takes required
- Assisting in maintaining appropriate records of stock and financial transactions
- Assisting in running supplier promotions and determining products on sale or other special offers, marketing activities and merchandising
- Assisting with quarterly stock takes
- Assisting with monthly internal NND audits
- Assisting with yearly external food audit
- Assisting to delegate tasks between team to ensure that all duties are completed to a high standard

**Health and Safety**:

- Ensuring compliance of all policy related to health and safety.
- Ensuring that all uniform standards are followed.

You are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $27 and $30 per hour.

**Requirements for the role**:

- Relevant work experience of 6 months in Management or Retail or Customer service is mandatory
- The Knowledge of business operations, including food and beverage services and customer service will be preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage the work and interact with customers
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Able to remain calm in a difficult situation

- Attention to detail and Multi-Tasker

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
