We are looking for an Funeral Director for our small, family owned and operated funeral homes in Penrose and Mangere Bridge. We are the most affordable funeral home in each of the areas we serve and strive to deliver a high level of service to our families.

Our business is growing and we have a position available in the industry. You will be given extensive training. No previous experience in the funeral industry is necessary.

- At least 5 years full time work experience dealing with people in a face to face position
- A team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically fit and mentally sound
- Sensitive to the needs of families and has empathy for others
- Highly organised with exceptional time management skills
- Can use a PC and has a basic knowledge of office
- Attention to detail
- Full and clean driving licence and able to pass a police check

This position requires on-call duties and you maybe called out anytime of the day or night when on-call. This is compensated for. When rostered on you must be available, this is a vital part of the position as families rely on us to be there when needed, not just office hours.
This position will be suitable for someone that can be called upon day and night, therefore rigid commitments are not recommended during on-call hours.
Due to Auckland traffic a 5.00pm finish times is not guaranteed, flexibility is required.

On-Call Vehicle supplied during your week on call
Staff/team bonuses
1 in 4 Roster, paid via retainer and then for additional hours
- **Your role as a funeral Director includes some of the following, not limited to**:_
Assisting with Transfers of the Deceased
Making Funeral Arrangements with the client families
Organizing Venues, Florists, Caterers, and all other aspects of the funeral.
Dressing the Deceased with families
Conducting Funerals
Supporting the Back of House team when required and advised

This is a very rewarding role for the right person, there can be very busy and at times stressful times due to the nature of this industry. You must be a person that can think on their feet and have initiative.

Position is Permanent and Full-Time
Minimum Hours of Work are 37.5 per week
Maximum of 55 during on-call weeks.
Pay Rates: $26.50 - $29.66 + Overtime

Pay: $55,100.00 - $61,700.00 per year
