We have two exciting opportunities to join our team as a **Librarian** in the Henderson-Massey Local Board. Our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days is required along with flexibility to work across the libraries within the local board at times.
Positions available:
1. 38 hours per week, based at Rānui Library (Sunday-Thursday, including rotational late nights on a Thursday)
2. 30 hours per week, based at Te Atatū Community Hub (Tuesday - Saturday)
**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
In this customer focused role, you will be a senior member of the library team contributing to the day to day running of the library and front-line library service. You will work closely with the manager and Senior Children and Youth Librarian to help lead the team to offer excellent customer service and enable a great experience for our customers. We want to be known for our outstanding customer service.
You will be working closely with our local community through outreach and a range of programmes, including supporting and/or delivering exciting learning programmes and activities that are driven by community need.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
Experience with building relationships and working with diverse communities would be beneficial for this role - there is a big focus on outreach.
We are looking for someone who:
- Engages and brings community members together, facilitating whanaungatanga, building connections within the community, and supporting community to coproduce a range of innovative activities
- Has a natural ability to relate well to people of all ages and backgrounds, along with strong digital competencies across a wide range of technologies. Readers advisory expertise is essential to foster literacy and community engagement.
- Can demonstrate leadership skills, exceptional customer service and communication skills. You will assist the Manager with day-to-day operations in the library and undertake in-charge and supervisory responsibilities as required.
- Will support team outcomes via training, mentoring, and coaching.
