**The Company**:
A highly successful and rapidly expanding food manufacturer based near Mt Wellington in Auckland is looking to source new talent to join and support their quality team. Providing contract manufacturing services, retail products and also manufacturing their own independent food products, our client can offer the excitement of a hugely diverse and fast-paced environment, where you will be able to see products you have worked with on the shelves of stores across the country in a matter of months

**The Role**:
In a Monday-Friday role with optional weekend work available, this role will support the Quality Manager and Technical Manager to ensure that food safety and quality procedures are adhered to throughout production, as well as compliance with government regulations and customer programmes. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting the production team to achieve food safety and quality standards
- Daily quality control activities e.g., calibration & maintenance of instruments, ensuring internal compliance to standards & SOPs, in-process testing etc.
- Maintaining laboratory records
- Benchtop testing
- Contributing to continuous improvement and efficiencies of quality and food safety
- Support internal and external audit programs
- 3+ years’ experience in quality control within a food manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary degree in Food Technology, Microbiology or similar
- Strong understanding of food safety & quality
- Knowledge of the Food Act 2014 and HACCP
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
