The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS)'s mission is to keep New Zealand and New Zealanders safe and secure. We collect and analyse intelligence in line with the Government's priorities to provide decision makers with sound national security advice. We also provide a range of protective security services to other government agencies.
For the first time, NZSIS is excited to offer a Graduate Programme aimed at attracting recently qualified Security Analyst professionals keen to contribute to our unique mission. Successful graduates will join NZSIS's Protective Security Directorate for a 12 month programme and gain experience working in risk management, personnel security, customer service and security investigations.
We're looking for someone who has a desire to learn new and sometimes complex skills, is able to correctly identify and assess risk, demonstrates sound judgment, is results oriented and a flexible team-player.
We are now hiring for our inaugural 2024 programme; this will suit those with strong interest and/or skills in security analysis, risk management, psychology, anthropology or sociology.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
