This role supports our services that focus on Infrastructure Automation, Configuration Management and Governance and Developer Tools. Infrastructure Automation encompasses services such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS Proton, App Runner; Configuration Management includes AWS OpsWorks which provides managed instances of Chef and Puppet, AWS Service Catalog and Control Tower for Governance. Our Developer Tools suite includes Cloud Development Kit, CodeArtifact, CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, and Elastic Beanstalk.

Basic qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have the following experience:

- Knowledge/experience in administration and troubleshooting of the following: DevOps/Deployment, and Configuration Management
- Knowledge/experience in continuous integration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, or related tools).
- Master’s degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in the same OR equivalent experience in a technical position.

- Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives to ensure better customer experience and compliance with global AWS standards, practices and policies.

- One or more Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Glassfish, JBoss, Puma, Passenger, IIS).
- Scripting or development experience using Python, Node.js/JavaScript, PowerShell or C# (.NET), Ruby, Golang.
- Understand the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, deploy.
- Understanding of hypervisor/virtualization and containerization
