Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, the second largest provider of tertiary education across Aotearoa, is excited to be looking for a Data Specialist - HR. This person is a highly motivated individual who drives for results, demonstrates analytical abilities, all whilst supporting the People Service function on data and reporting. **About the role**

The position is responsible for providing people data and insights to support the operational needs of Kiriwhanake (HR), writing reports for governance committees, and undertaking projects and supporting initiatives improving service quality and business outcomes.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Oversee the HR Dashboard and collate reports
- Activate modules within HR IT systems
- Develop internal and external communication templates
- Assist with broader reporting and report writing for governance committee

**About you**

You will hold a Bachelor’s in Business, Data Science or related field and be a competent user of Microsoft Office and HRMIS or ERP systems. You will also have experience as below:

- Analysis of Data Operating Power Bi
- Ideally, understanding of Human Resource functions
- 5 years’ experience in data analysis
- 1-2 years’ experience minimum in HR environment.

And be willing to participate in cultural activities and motivated to develop an understanding of āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga).
