The purpose of the Warehouse Operator is to be an effective member of our Palmerston North team and support management to embed a high-performance culture, with zero tolerance and best in class the health and safety practices.

You will be inducted and trained to perform warehouse tasks to the highest standard and you will play an active part in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance and profits.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Coordination, monitoring and management of inwards & outwards good, including internal transfers. Correct labelling, timely and accurate completion of system-based processes i.e. receipting, and robust record management, picking and packing orders, stock control, unloading of trucks
- Inventory control; monitoring stock levels, accurate recording and documentation, following ‘Good Manufacturing Practices i.e. FEFO
- Manufacturing support: food safety & quality, health & safety, product handling, compliance ensuring chiller, storage, packing and processing requirements are strictly adhered to and followed.
- General warehousing tasks
- cleaning and maintenance

No day is the same, so you need to be flexible and happy to help where required.

To be considered for this role you must have a valid forklift licence and at least 12 months experience ideally working in a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operation. It would be advantageous to have a reach truck licence but not essential.

With a strong work ethic, great attitude, and a keenness to learn you will enjoy working autonomously and, with others. You will have excellent communication skills (written & verbally), task orientated and comfortable learning new systems and processes. Strong numeracy and computer skills is essential.

With a high degree of integrity, you will be known as a can-do person, who is highly organised and motivated to perform to the best of your ability every day.
