This exciting role sits within our insurance product team, which is an important strategic area of focus. The Insurance product squads are accountable for ensuring that Westpac NZ has the most competitive life & income, house & contents and car & vehicle insurance options for our customers.

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be part of the team providing key product management support for all the insurance products Westpac has for our customers. Day to day you’ll focus on the customer experience through engaging with our strategic partners to influence the end-to-end aspects of delivery of products including strategic planning, customer collateral, digital improvement, project planning, stakeholder management, disclosure document reviews and various regulatory reporting requirements. Your focus will be on our Fire and General Insurance products.

This is a really exciting role that is slightly different to a traditional Product Management role. This role has a high degree of collaboration and influencing others, with a mix of project management, being a fierce advocate for our customers and working on product improvements across the insurance product space.

**Ōu Pūkenga | About You**
- 5+ years’ previous experience in a product management role.
- Specific insurance product knowledge would be highly valued.
- Experience working in the professional services industry (Banking, Insurance, Consumer Banking, Accounting and/or finance consulting centred roles would be advantageous).
- Proven innovation management skills, with the ability to bring creative ideas of others to life.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end delivery of product through distribution channels.
- Engagement with third parties in product management.
- Experience with pricing adjustments and remediation programmes an advantage
- Strong financial acumen.
- A growth mindset with the ability to drive change through a large organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to guide individuals to fast and effective outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
