**About the role**
Our client is an industry leader in calibrating test and measurement equipment, serving various sectors. Specialising in calibrating a diverse mix of electronic test equipment, they are expanding the Calibration division and hiring a new team member. Responsibilities include calibrating electronic instruments, developing test procedures, and documenting the calibration process for future reference.
- Key purpose of this role is to calibrate electronic instruments over a diverse range of product areas.
- Take responsibility to develop test procedures and document/record the calibration process.
- Over time gain experience across all product areas, not being limited to any single class/type of instrument. Through the knowledge gained represent the Company with Customers, providing them the advice and support needed.
- Support the Calibration Manager with business management functions, including software, quality manual (ISO17025 standards), audits etc.
- Good oral and written English skills and a high degree of computer literacy particularly in MS Excel and Word.
**Skills & Experience**
- Possess impressive hands-on electronic/electrical experience and/or technical aptitude. Degree qualification in related field important.
- Attention to detail and consistent high performance with repetitive tasks.
- Strong hardware and software skills, especially excel and being able to interface between instruments and computers utilising RS232, GPIB and USB.
- Have initiative and impressive problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and consistent performance in completing tasks.
- Work well in a team as well as being able to work autonomously.
