We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Track Design Engineer to join our team in either Auckland or Wellington, New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging rail projects in a beautiful and dynamic environment, contributing to the growth and enhancement of the local transportation infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop rail track layouts, alignments, and profiles for new construction and maintenance projects.
- Conduct detailed track inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create precise and efficient track designs, considering factors such as geometry, alignment, and clearance requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, surveyors, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of track designs into larger rail projects.
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for tender and construction purposes.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry advancements and best practices in track design and engineering.
- Assist with the review and evaluation of contractor submissions and provide technical support during construction.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in track design and engineering within the rail industry.
- Strong proficiency in track design software, such as Bentley Rail Track, MicroStation, or AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of track geometry, alignment, and construction principles.
- Familiarity with New Zealand rail standards, codes, and regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to project delivery.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering track design projects within defined timelines and budgets.
