**About the role**

We have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager, looking after Fresh Produce to join our awesome Merchandise team.

Reporting to the Category Manager, you’ll be responsible for a number of products across Fresh produce for over 40 Four Square stores which means you’ll build relationships with store owners, and suppliers to support sales and margin growth. You’ll look after daily sales to your stores including offering deals and help to grow sales across the overall produce department. Due to the nature of Fresh Produce, the role requires you to start the day at 6:00am, work a Saturday and be on call on a Sunday once a month.

**About you**

Ideally you’ll come from a background in buying or from a store and experience in FMCG or Fresh Produce would be beneficial so you can hit the ground running. You’ll be good with numbers, data and analysis with the ability to multitask and have an eye for detail. As someone with excellent planning and communication skills, you’ll easily interact with people from various backgrounds and build robust relationships. You’ll be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and thrive on working with a constantly changing seasonal supply where you need to be agile and act quickly.
