**About the role**

As a Category Manager, you will be part of our future focused team responsible for leading and executing the strategic and operational delivery of outstanding customer experience with innovative product solutions and value that help grow our businesses.

Providing expert knowledge across your Category, you will be working intimately with our Store Owner/Operators, influencing and engaging - driving sales and performance across a range of products that you’re probably enjoying at your favourite bar, restaurant or get-away hotel

With a true strategic mind-set, you’ll live and breathe the journey; determining and achieving strategic objectives through effective category planning, managing supplier relationships, pricing, promotional activities, range management and product positioning that will see Gilmours win in the Wholesale world.

**About you**

High energy, invigorated by challenge, thick skinned, entrepreneurial, up to date with market trends, commercially savvy with the confidence & knowledge to build strong relationships and engage with our Owner/Operators on the daily, assisting with decision making and business planning.

- Entrepreneurial skills
- Solid B2B experience
- Exposure from within FMCG or Foodservice
- Strong analytical slant and an affinity for the numbers
- Strategic thinking and a willingness to experiment
- A strong track record in negotiating sales outcomes
- Practical commercial understanding with a focus for return on investment
