Auckland City, New Zealand Maslow NZ Limited Full time

This is a key role in scaling the SaaS platform to lead in the technical infrastructure. You will have a pivotal role in ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of our systems.

The Tech and Data teams are the foundation of the success - from effective development practices, communication and relationships to internal design and product teams. We foster an entrepreneurial yet supportive environment where customer obsession defines us, ideas can come from anywhere and execution is everything.

If you're a self-directed, independent and experienced Infrastructure Engineer looking to make an impact and shape the direction of a fast-growing company and ultimately entire industries, this is for you.

**Responsibilities**:
Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.

Manage and maintain cloud-based servers, storage, and networking components.

Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place.

Implement security best practices and compliance measures.

Evaluate and recommend infrastructure improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Lead and enhance our DevOps practices, automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes.

Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth software releases.

Manage and optimise cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience as an Infrastructure/DevOps engineer

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven experience in a similar role with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

Serve as the AWS and Cloud Expert: Act as the go-to authority within the team for AWS services and cloud-related best practices. Champion the effective utilisation of AWS services, optimising costs, and ensuring scalability and reliability. Stay updated with AWS advancements and introduce relevant technologies to enhance our infrastructure.

Networking and Security Guru: Lead efforts in designing and maintaining secure and high-performance network architectures. Implement and continuously improve network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls. Collaborate closely with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Developer Tooling and Automation Champion: Drive the adoption of developer-friendly tooling and automation practices. Establish and maintain a suite of tools and frameworks that streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. Empower development teams with efficient CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment orchestration.

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Advocate: Spearheaded the implementation of CI/CD best practices, tools, and workflows. Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and ensure code quality. Promote a culture of automation and collaboration between development and operations teams.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Enthusiast: Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and technologies, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Manage infrastructure configurations and provisioning processes as code, enabling reproducibility, scalability, and version control.

Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to bridge gaps and align strategies. Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members in these areas.

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) would be an advantage.
