**The Role - Deputy Compounding Manager**
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a special someone to be part of our Compounding Operations based in **Mt. Wellington, Auckland**. We are seeking a professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities to manage the effective day to day running of the compounding facility. Reporting to the **Compounding Manager NZ, **you will be responsible in ensuring product quality and business measures are met, whilst also maintaining effective people management, development and vigilance in protecting our employees’ health and safety.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversight and assist in the implementation of site’s goals and strategies
- Support the training team and quality team in monitoring and implementation of initiatives for the site
- Providing development, coaching, empowerment, leadership and motivation
- Point of escalation for both management and day to day production issues
- Managing escalated staff counselling and conflict resolution
- Monitor workplace and help implement EHS strategies for safety and wellness.
- Lead the recruitment activities for the team.
- Participate in Customer Business /Operational Reviews
- Track metrics to ensure customer needs are met such as delivery times, credits, service complaints are done in a timely manner
- Support NZ Compounding Manager in liaising with Sales and Marketing team
- Ensure QA activities are implemented and completed in a timely fashion
- Participate in site audit preparations and audit activities
- Implement and track site operational goals to ensure budget requirements are met
- Provide guidance and support in pursuing process improvement
**Key Requirements of the role include**
**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:
- Pharmaceutical Degree, Science Degree or suitable equivalent
- Team Leadership and Management skills
- Sound decision-making skills
- Negotiation Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal/external customers
- Proven ability to lead an effective team
**Desirable skills**:
- Basic financial understanding
- Experience in aseptic compounding
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice
