**About the role**:
Due to a growing client base, we are currently seeking a new team member to service our clients at a Senior Accountant level. There is an also an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to take the next step in their career progression to a Team Leader Role.

**This role includes but is not limited to**:

- Preparing tax returns, financial statements, GST returns, and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts.
- A strong capability to prioritize tasks and set appropriate time frames.
- Assisting with training staff and helping build strong client relationships.
- Other general accounting tasks as required.
- Being a positive role model, championing our values and policies.
- Reviewing work of Junior and Intermediate Accountants Workflow management and monitoring to meet service delivery, compliance, and budget requirements.
- Assist with Management Reporting Identify Opportunities to streamline and add value to client services.

Our team leaders have both compliance and management responsibilities.
- You would lead, manage, mentor, and support a small team of accounting professionals, whilst managing a portfolio of clients.
- This role also includes being a positive role model and reviewing the work of Junior and Intermediate Accountants.
- Workflow management and monitoring to meet service delivery, compliance, and budget requirements.
- Assisting with management reporting. Identifying opportunities to streamline and add value to client services.

**About you**:

- 4 years + accounting firm experience.
- Experience with Xero (desirable but not necessary).
- Strong technical and taxation skills.
- Solid work ethic with a strong customer focus.
- Great attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Effective and clear communicator both with our clients and team, verbally and written.
- Committed to developing your skills and career.
- Demonstrate an ability to quickly learn and work with new systems, processes, and technology.
- You are currently living in and are eligible to work in New Zealand.
