**Front of House Manager for IPPUDO NZ**

($29.00 - $33.90)p/h / ($60,000 - $70,000)per annum
Hours: Min 40 hrs p/w.
Location: Auckland CBD, Auckland, NZ

IPPUDO, the biggest global ramen brand out of Japan. Outlets across the world from the USA, UK, France to all over SEAsia reaching Australia and New Zealand. We established our first outlet in Auckland in 2019 with the aim to deliver a concept where people can enjoy, understand and appreciate Japanese food and culture. IPPUDO is now established in Westfield Newmarket and Sylvia Park Shopping Centre, 2 of the most popular shopping destinations in Auckland.

**Responsibilities**:

- Learn and understand the concepts of IPPUDO style customer service and food
- Coordinate with staff to serve quality food and drink in a timely manner
- Ensure sales are completed correctly and receive payment from customers
- Ensure cash handling procedures are followed & recorded accurately
- Daily active attempts manage and upsell specials/promotions while being aware of daily targets
- Ensure with BOH managers stock takes are done correctly
- Communicate and manage customers to resolve any issues, delivering the best customer service experience
- Lead staff selection, Interviewing, hiring and training new team members
- Conduct briefing, ensuring administrative tasks where starting and end of shift duties are taken care off
- Improving internal processes from previous experiences where required
- Ensuring the restaurant is profitable with objectives set by top management
- Ensure professional, clean and appealing shop and plate up presentation
- Arrange Special/Event/Social Media Group bookings or functions at both locations
- Adhering to Licenses, Cleanliness and Training
- Ensuring compliance with all government regulations(food, liquor license)
- Ensuring restaurant is clean at all times and well presented
- Ensure all operations at the restaurant are moving well
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

**Experience**:

- Have adequate knowledge and experience managing restaurant teams
- Listening and resolving problems with customer for desirable outcomes
- Ability to maintain and manage the restaurant while adhering to a rigid service order
- Ability to offer advice on menu item selection and speak confidently on menu items
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to work successfully with both front-and back-of-house employees
- Thorough knowledge of service protocol and competence in the mechanics of service
- A dedication to excellence and giving our guests a memorable experience
- Motivating team members, manage conflict resolution with duty-of-care and fairness

**Qualifications & Qualities**:

- Be professional and have excellent people skills
- Previous experience in a similar role, know how of manage and working in a team
- Leadership skills to coordinate and manage the team
- Able to build relationships with customers and suppliers
- Be precise to ensure excellent customer service experience with attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of health and safety rules and food safety protocols
- Organisational skills for administrative and multitasking
- Listening skills for customer service and the team, requiring patience and leadership
- Customer service expertise
- Working knowledge of Restaurants
- Full working rights in New Zealand
