**About the role**

In response to recent changes to our specialist Investigations Function at the Civil Aviation Authority, we have created a range of new and innovative roles. The Manager Investigations is a newly created critical role to lead a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for delivering comprehensive and impartial aviation safety and security investigations to inform a broad range of outcomes in line with the CAA regulatory decision-making policy

The key to success in this role lies in combining a solid understanding of professional regulatory practice with the management and leadership skills to guide, motivate, build, and foster an inclusive, engaged and high performing team.

**What You’ll Bring**

We are seeking experienced leaders and managers with exceptional communication skills and a wealth of knowledge and demonstrated experience in investigation techniques and methods.

You will need to demonstrate.
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Robust and impactful relationships within the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Experience implementing operational models that are tailored to requirements and comply with regulatory standards.
- Extensive experience in fostering and leading diverse and inclusive teams, cultivating a safe, positive, and thriving workplace environment.
- Experience in identifying and managing risks in a challenging environment.
