This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner to join our People Operations Leadership team as the Manager, Business Partnering
At te Tāhū o Te Ture we have anchored our operating model to a people experience philosophy and are fully embracing new approaches to how we work together and deliver our work programme out to the business. The Manager, Business Partnering role is critical to continue to enhance the great work that has been started by our dedicated People Experience teams so far.
Reporting to the Manager People Operations, this role will be responsible for leading a team of Strategic PX Business Partners and Senior HR Advisors, partnering with senior leaders in the business, and ensuring quality business-focused advice is provided to our customers. A significant part of this role will be to act as a “connector” between PX and the business groups.
This role provides an opportunity to sink your teeth into a leadership role where you have an opportunity to:

- Lead and grow a highly engaged and respected Business Partnering team made up of experienced Business Partners and Senior Advisors
- Partner with senior leaders and support te Tāhū o te Ture's strategic direction by making sure they receive efficient and high quality PX advice
- Play a key role in our People Operations Leadership team where, collectively our focus will be on improving service delivery and ensuring a great experience for our employees.
- Support the development and delivery of strategic PX initiatives

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Strong generalist HR experience, ideally across a wide range of organisations including the public sector
- Experience working as a Business Partner to Senior Leaders (Deputy Chief Executive level) with a good understanding of how strategic business partnering can support leaders and strategy
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational change
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop individuals to achieve their full potential and create a high-performance culture
- Commitment to building Māori capability - both personally and within your team

The People Operations Team within People Experience (PX) is a group of dedicated HR professionals that value the work they do and what the Ministry is striving to achieve, they work closely together across the team and enjoy getting connecting socially as well.
The purpose of the wider People Experience team is to help the Ministry's people have a great experience at work. This begins before they start with us and goes right though until they leave us. We build and operate the people-related practices that form the experience of the people who work here, in the areas of organisational development, learning, employment relations and human resources. We also advise and support the Ministry's people, including our leaders, as they do their jobs day-to-day. We're a group of committed specialists who want to make a difference.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $120,397 - $169,973 based on skills and experience.
