**Finance Business Partner**

**Permanent - Part Time (20 Hours per Week).**

The position of Finance Business Partner will provide a key financial link between their portfolio managers, their staff and Organisational Services. This linkage will require the incumbent to have a good knowledge of the key drivers and operational issues associated with particular portfolios. The Finance Business Partner is expected to provide insightful and both technical and non-technical financial information to respective portfolio leadership teams. The Finance Business Partner team will work alongside the various teams as a Business Partner.

In this role, we are looking for someone who has the capacity to:

- Review draft management accounts for their Portfolios for reasonableness relative to margins and budget variations. Investigate and provide adjusting journals as appropriate in conjunction with the Financial Accountant. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing their Portfolio monthly General Accruals outside of the transactional financial journal process.
- Review the completion of the Balance Sheet reconciliations applicable to their allocated Portfolios in relation to any future impact on the financial result. To be reviewed in conjunction with the Financial Accountant.
- Assist in the quantification of benefits to be derived from projects, providing financial modelling for Business cases, including Capital expenditure.
- To work as a business partner with their applicable Portfolios, in assisting and supporting the accuracy and timeliness of the Budgeting and Forecasting process, including Capital expenditure budget.
- Question the reasonableness of underlying forecast assumptions used by portfolios in a constructive manner.
- An accounting degree and professional qualification or similar.
- At least 3 years’ experience post qualifying.
- Excellent communications skills with which to liaise with line managers in the provision of financial support and advice.
- An ability to analyse information and uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
