Auckland CBD, New Zealand Public Trust Full time

**Ko wai mātou | About Us**

Public Trust is New Zealand's largest trustee services organisation, providing specialist advice on a range of legal, financial, investment, trust and estate management services to individuals, families, and businesses. As a purpose-driven, values-led organisation, we help people protect what matters most to them and their whanau. Whether it be planning how they want to pass on what matters most to them - their music collection, family heirlooms or KiwiSaver savings - or making sure their wishes are carried out after they're gone, Public Trust is here to help.

**Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role**

Are you passionate about helping others plan for their future and manage their financial affairs? As a Trustee, you'll be a vital member of our Customer Centre team, providing essential support to our customers.

You will have a unique opportunity to care for New Zealanders by helping them access and understand how to best protect their families and their future. You will join a team in our Customer Centre, providing advice and guidance on Estate management, Wills, Enduring Power of Attorneys, Personal Assistance, and Trusts.

You'll be responsible for a group of clients within your customer centre, keeping them informed of progress or key decisions made on their behalf. You won't be alone - you'll have a team of specialists to assist with any queries, as well as support from your customer centre team leader and manager.

You'll be supported by an in-house team of accountants and solicitors, but you'll hold the primary relationship with your customers, managing their experience from start to finish.

**Ko wai koe | About you**

We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating amazing customer experiences. You should have a positive attitude, empathy, and resilience. You'll be doing interesting work that requires critical thinking and regular problem-solving. Attention to detail and comfort with technology will help you ensure decisions are executed to a high standard.
- You have exposure to estate administration, whether through relationship management and administration of client contracts (e.g., trusts, agency clients) or personal experience managing the estate of a loved one.
- You have an interest and/or experience in working with communities, including social services, health organsations, or support services.
- You can build rapport, listen, and show empathy with customers and colleagues.
- You have experience working with customers during significant moments in their lives.
- You have received consistently high or improving customer feedback.
- You can work unsupervised, problem-solve, show initiative, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Previous experience in a trustee, legal, or financial services role is a plus, as is an understanding of basic accounting concepts.

**Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou | What we offer**

You'll be joining a highly collaborative team where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of New Zealanders. To support you on this journey, we have a purpose-built learning framework - Qualified to Serve - consisting of formal and on-the-job learning, that allows you to 'earn as you learn'. You'll have a personalised development plan and all the support you need to grow your career.
