**Senior Software Engineer**

Trustees Executors was first trust company in New Zealand, established in New Zealand in 1881. Trustees Executors has a rich and proud history providing a full range of financial services to individuals and institutions.

Trustees Executors is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work with our team in New Zealand, to lead the development of software for funds management including Superannuation, KiwiSaver, Managed Investment Schemes and Unit Trusts. This role will work closely with the Business Operations Lead, Internal/External Developers, Business Analysts and Testers. You will architect and develop technical solutions for business problems by creating data transformation tools and systems that will create business efficiencies, scalability whilst reducing business risks.

**Location**

New Zealand, Hawaii, or Remote if available to work on New Zealand time.

**Architecture Core Responsibilities**

The core responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Advanced level software architecture, development and coding capability across several languages, including Distributed Ledger technologies.
- Architect, develop, implement and maintenance of third-party Robotic Process Automation tools across the business
- Architect, develop & implement business process improvement tools and techniques
- Architect, develop & implement Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Advanced level of ability to de-bug code and identify and rectify defects or data issues
- Undertake business and system analysis as required, and document to a high standard
- Working with other team members, complete system and module design and estimation activities for enhancements
- Architect, develop and execute effective unit and function tests for all software changes
- Provide technical assistance and support to clients as needed
- Undertake software builds and installations
- Assist with preparation and delivery of software releases
- Understand and follow technical and quality standards and procedures
- Suggest and recommend changes to technical standards and procedures
- Document all work effectively
- Undertake and participate in peer reviews
- Communicate issues in a timely and effective manner
- Participate effectively in team and project meetings
- Ensure assigned work is completed in a timely fashion and in accordance to agreed estimates
- Comply with relevant team, project and organisation processes and policies

**Core Skills and Experience**

To perform the functions of this role requires the following capabilities;
- Working knowledge of infrastructure, network and desktop technologies.
- High degree of technical knowledge in multiple platforms including many of, but not necessarily limited to, the following:

- DLT, Blockchain (ie. R3 Corda)
- Java
- .NET C#
- C, C++
- Erlang, Haskel, Forth
- Python, Ruby, Perl
- Experience with RPA tools i.e. UiPath
- Experience with ESB tools i.e. Mulesoft
- Experience with Cloud Platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
- Strong familiarity with development environments
- The ability to understand and resolve systems/operational issues and liaise with staff in the efficient use of the relevant systems.
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- The ability to self-manage and be a positive influencer
- Expert understanding of the processes and controls needed to mitigate risk, assure quality and guarantee compliance
- Sound judgement and well-developed problem solving and decision-making capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- C/C++: 5 years (preferred)
- Python/Ruby/Perl: 5 years (preferred)
- Erlang/Haskel/Forth: 3 years (preferred)
- Blockchain: 1 year (preferred)
