Job Summary

This Senior Investigator role is responsible for undertaking investigative work primarily on behalf of the Registrar of Companies (Business Registries) and the Official Assignee of New Zealand (Insolvency and Trustee Service).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations, conduct interviews, and provide input to relevant reports.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of enforcement strategies within New Zealand's Business Registries and Insolvency & Trustee Service spaces.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven communication, investigation, and analytical skills.
  • Sound understanding of New Zealand legislation, particularly the Companies, Insolvency, Privacy, and Official Information Acts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to build trust and credibility with managers and staff.
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in law enforcement or a related field.
