To be considered for the position, previous experience in hardware and software within the mobile device (or similar electronics) repair environment is a pre-requisite, ideally with a minimum of one year in the industry.

Ideally applicants would also have tertiary qualifications or manufacturer certifications in electronics (or similar) fields.

**Role Overview**

As a Fonefix Electronics Repair Technician you should be able to interpret/read technical schematics, service manuals and technical bulletins. Good knowledge and experience with electronic repairing equipment is essential, as well as proficient computer skills, including strong operational knowledge of mobile phone OS platforms such as iOS and Android. You will be required to use electronics hand tools, soldering iron, hot air gun, power supply, fixtures and various other test interfaces.

**Main Responsibilities are not limited to but will include**:

- Productivity: Achieving personal repair targets and volumes
- Customer Satisfaction: Completing repairs to the required standard within the designated time period, with mínimal re-service/return rate
- Documentation: Accurately document repairs/complete job sheets and various internal communications such as parts management/requests
- Quality Control: Operating to required company standards and procedures
- Teamwork: Assist others in the team with your specific expertise areas
- Constant Learning: Show a passion for ongoing improvement and growth
- General Duties: Assisting in workshop maintenance to ensure a clean and healthy laboratory environment
- ESD (Electrostatic Sensitive Discharge): Observing all workshop ESD requirements

**Hardware Repair (Level 0, 1, 2 & 3)**:

- Disassemble/reassemble down to board and component levels with mínimal parts breakage
- Excellent soldering skills
- Schematic Reading/Accurate Diagnosis
- Fast testing capability/quality control

**Software Repair**:

- Device re-flashing (using manufacturer supplied software and hardware tools)
- IMEI writing
- Diagnosis tools
- Water resistance testing tools
- Data synchronisation and backups

**Equipment Competency**:
**Minimum Criteria**:

- NZ Citizenship, Permanent residency or completed Work Visa status
- Minimum 1 year experience in mobile device repair or similar electronics fields.
