At Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand, our key role is to ensure New Zealanders have accurate information about where people and places are, that people have confidence in their property rights and that Crown property is well managed for future generations. We are on a long-term journey to build cloud-native data infrastructure products that support our mission critical business activities in the Location Information group.
To help us achieve this we are looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer with a good understanding of modern Agile development.
This role will see you working within an Agile team developing, configuring, testing, implementing, and documenting innovative solutions to common problems our DevOps squads are having; and creating and maintaining Github Actions CI/CD pipelines targeting AWS.

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
- Ability to monitor and optimise the performance of system software and actively participate in resolving potential and actual service problems.
- Ability to detect issues. Log and prioritise them, initiate actions to investigate them, diagnose and resolve problems.
- Ability to coordinate incident responses, taking actions to minimising negative impacts and restoring service as quickly as possible.
- Maintaining and supporting infrastructure cloud-based systems, to meet operational needs and service levels.
- Ability to understand and identify relationships of configuration items (CIs) such as source code, software, products, systems, hardware, or networks.
- Monitor service level agreements to support cloud-based services.
- Analyse and optimised cloud-based storage to support back up, archiving and data recovery related activities.
- Ability to adhere to established safety, security, and quality standards.
- Maintain documentation of permanent fixes, temporary corrections, workarounds, and other knowledge articles.
- Certified in ITIL, CompTIA or Cisco (highly desirable)
- Will be required to participate in an out of business hours on-call roster.

**Tools**:

- Ideally experience in OpsGenie, New Relic, Jira and Github actions
- Development or scripting skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Java, GroovyAWS cloud platform, AWS CDK, ECS, Postgress RDS, Redis and Dynamo
