Fixed term/secondment opportunity for 12 months - Based in Gisborne
We have an opportunity for a strategic future thinker to join our regional leadership team as Regional Commissioner Advisor.
Based in Gisborne you will provide leadership, strategic knowledge, support and advice and implementation across a broad range of areas to the Regional Commissioner, leadership team and wider public service to enable delivery on MSD's strategic and operational priorities for the Region.
The Ministry has a diverse portfolio of work and stakeholder groups. This role will support to leading this work and you will help other members of the leadership team to maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, align and deliver on cross-sector work programmes and initiatives, and ensure risks, trends and opportunities are identified, while staying ahead of economic and social imperatives and trends relative to regional development, labour markets and local government.
About you
You have strong strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills with a knack for identifying trends and opportunities. You thrive in a fast-moving agile environment and can gather information under pressure to provide sound, evidence-based advice and leadership. High levels of tenacity and resilience enable you to work through political, economic and social issues with ease. Equally you can deliver operational outputs and juggle competing demands. No two days are the same, so you need to be comfortable navigating constant change with a risk management and continuous improvement lens.

Position Description
**Salary range**: $113,424.00 - $137,740.00
