**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**:
As we embark on our mission to connect and foster learning and literacy for intergenerational engagement, we have an exciting opportunity for two **Whānau Learning Specialist** positions. These roles are permanent, 40 hours per week, reporting to the Whānau Learning Team Leader. You will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing effective relationships with the
community libraries, and act as an expert advisor and supporter for the local delivery of regional literacy and learning initiatives. Collaboration with other teams is crucial to align efforts, share insights, and develop a cohesive programme of activities to increase participation in lifelong learning programmes at Auckland Council Libraries.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**:
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

- experience in implementing learning and literacy support programmes for
- intergenerational engagement.
- ability to establish and nurture robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders and community groups.
- a strategic thinker who follows best practices for pedagogy and adult learning theory.
- ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively to promote teamwork.
- outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information
- to diverse audiences.
- having an analytical mindset focusing on data and insights to drive
continuous improvements.
- strong passion for learning and literacy in the public library environment.
- well-developed self-awareness and a growth-oriented mindset.
