Keen to leverage your Food & Beverage and conferencing management experience? Our F&B team at SkyCity Hamilton are looking for a Conference & Events Manager on a Fixed Term basis, to lead our Conference & Events team, covering a period of Parental Leave. Reporting to the Head of F&B, you'll be our go-to person when it comes to managing all aspects of our conferences and events business, building a strong culture of excellence in service, products and customer experience.

**About the role**:
Working closely with the marketing and food & beverage teams, particularly the Conferences Operations Lead, you will manage, coordinate & deliver booked functions, maintain relationships with current clients, ensuring booking and execution of events and group bookings are delivered to an exceptional standard, creating a seamless customer experience.
A typical day could include
- Ensuring all employees are fully inducted, trained, and mentored to deliver exceptional service
- Delivery of events including decorating, liaising with performers and outlet staff.
- Co-ordination of all function and conference bookings in the SkyCity Hamilton Conference Centre rooms and other SkyCity Hamilton venues, including liaison between clients and Food & Beverage Operations
- On-site presence during events, making quick decisions when required to ensure events run in line with customer expectations
This is a Full-Time opportunity, working 40 hours per week, primarily Monday - Friday, but some weekend work will be required on an occasional basis. This is a Fixed-term role, covering a 6 month period of Parental Leave.
**About you**:
Your understanding of functions and conferencing within a hospitality environment, passion for delivering exceptional outcomes to customers and providing direction, training, and development to your team, will see you succeed in this role.
- Superb English written and verbal communication skills, partnered with a high level of professionalism
- A "customer comes first" attitude, with the ability to prioritise & muti-task competing demands
- Microsoft Office suite literacy and solid administration, organizational and time management skills.
- Some flexibility around working hours. From time to time work outside of standard office hours may be required
