Busy and rewarding role which will see you collaborate with this supportive team to control and manage inventory within our Palmerston North Distribution Centre.

Part of the wider Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd, Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd is New Zealand's largest supplier of commercial vehicle parts and workshop services to the Road Transport Industry. Our network of 19 branches throughout the country specialises in the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles with franchises including Hino, Mack, Renault, and Volvo.

**The role**

Reporting to the Parts Distribution Manager, you will liaise with our nationwide branch network, and support office teams, and external suppliers. You will be managing all aspects of inventory control within the Distribution Centre and ensure all paperwork and systems are correctly updated with accurate inventory information.

**What you'll be doing**
- Plan and perform physical stocktakes and cyclical stock counts on a regular basis
- Stock rotation, consolidation, and pick-face replenishments
- Stock adjustments processing and monitoring
- Monitor and ensure correct set up of bin locations within the warehouse for optimum efficiency
- Monitor and manage the offsite storage to maintain customer service levels and reduce costs
- Maintenance of serialised items
- To investigate any variances in a timely and accurate manner
- Aged stock and slow-moving stock identification, reporting and reallocation of stock
- Stock adjustments processing and monitoring
- Inventory Reporting and Analysis
- Track and analyse branch demand pattern

**What you need to be successful**
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to identify patterns, inventory gaps and make appropriate recommendations
- A strong understanding of inventory management and planning
- Knowledge of warehousing and distribution principles
- Problem solving and investigative skills to determine reasons for stock variances.
- Intermediate level of computer skills (Excel, Work, Outlook etc)
- Reach and Forklift OSH endorsement required
- Experience with Autoline is advantageous but not essential
