**Client**:
Our client is dominating the Manawatu and Wellington markets and quickly becoming a well-known name in the Traffic Management industry. Due to rapid growth, our client now requires an Asset Manager to manage their fleet and inventory.

**Overview**:
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the entire fleet, including maintenance, procurement, replacement, and repair. The role will also include the management of the client’s yard space, equipment, and inventory.

You will ideally have minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a prior Fleet, Logistics or Operations Management role. This is a newly established position with an opportunity to bring your knowledge, integrate new ideas and make it your own.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all Fleet and equipment is maintained through a schedule maintenance programme/replaced, as necessary.
- Establish a maintenance programme for each branch, engaging with contractors and organisations to facilitate required business needs at best value.
- Implement a new system for recording and asset control and keep accurate records of their assignment including routine inspections upon return.
- Develop and implement new strategies around fleet inductions, policies and procedures and reporting techniques in conjunction with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager
- Regular reporting to Operations team on fleet status, repairs, inventory levels and pending or new acquisitions per team/branch.
- Regular presentation to General Manager covering all aspects of the role, including monthly maintenance, damage, and compliance costs.
- Ensure company fleet are clean and well presented on work sites.
- Contribute to monthly toolbox and advise on current objectives.

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in Operations, Logistics or Fleet Management
- Excellent communication skills at all levels - oral, written and presentation.
- Leadership ability across a large, diverse team
- Emotional intelligence and people management skills
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities

**Days and hours**:
You will be required on site Monday-Friday and your hours of work will be between 7am-5pm, however there will be times you are required outside of these hours.
