Join the New Zealand Consulate-General in Los Angeles as a Policy Adviser, working as part of a motivated team to deliver on New Zealand’s policy goals through our relationship with the West Coast of the United States.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Policy Adviser is responsible for contributing to the advancement of New Zealand’s foreign policy interests by supporting the Consulate-General’s engagement with government officials, local contacts and the business sector.
**The Policy Adviser’s responsibilities will include**:
- Engaging with stakeholders on key issues and emerging trends of interest to New Zealand
- Developing policy advice
- Supporting visits and functions

The appointment range for this role is US$75,320 to US$85,805 total remuneration - negotiable depending on experience.

- A high standard tertiary qualification
- Excellent verbal and written and communication
- Experience in developing policy advice, advocacy and influencing
- Motivated and self-sufficient worker who can also work well with a small team
This is a locally employed position, with terms and conditions being set in accordance with US employment regulations. No offshore allowance or transfer/relocation allowance applies.
