Be at the centre of the National Cyber Security Centres (NCSC) response to cyber security incidents.

NCSC contributes to the national security of Aotearoa New Zealand by providing technical advice and high-end cyber security services to detect and respond to such threats.

Your role is to lead an operational team of technical experts and coordinators, in the triaging and response to cyber security incidents, the technical analysis conducted during forensic investigations, and the mitigation advice provided to victims of cyber incidents. You will be working with teams across the NCSC and wider government to respond to the most significant cyber security incidents impacting New Zealand.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience as a people leader, be comfortable operating in a high paced response environment and have extensive generalised ICT experience with specific knowledge in:

- Incident response
- IT security
- Forensics
- Network defence or
- Leading operational teams and have a tertiary degree, or equivalent experience in computer science, forensics or security.

You will be a leader who can identify the strengths of their people and leverage these to ensure the best outcomes for our customers and New Zealand. The leadership and experience you bring will play a vital role in enhancing our stakeholder relationships at both a domestic and international level. You will need to be someone who is prepared to put the needs of the customer at the centre of everything you, and your team, do.
