We are seeking a passionate Transport Planner for our New Zealand Transport team, preferably based in with our team in Auckland, Hamilton or Tauranga. This role will build good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard while supporting in the development of new and repeat business across New Zealand - including preparation of proposals and bids for projects. You will be providing project management activity on transportation planning and other similar projects.
**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:
- Production and review of technical and business case reports.
- Deliver behavioural change programmes
- Influencing future landuse through development planning or development control
- Travel demand forecasting and route planning
- Support projects from strategy and development phase through to implementation and monitoring
- Planning strategies and conceptual design to create liveable and functional transport infrastructure
- Developing and delivering sustainable development solutions across the country
- Economic justifications for active transport (walking and cycling);
- Provide advice and frameworks for evaluating economic benefits of transportation programmes
**What you will bring to the team**:
- BEng Civil or Planning Degree
- Tertiary qualified with minimum 7 years’ experience in transportation related projects
- Excellent communication skills and has the ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group
- Strong business acumen, with proven ability to take initiative
- Organised in multitasking of self and others and able to meet deadlines
