We are looking for a high-calibre, ambitious, innovative, versatile, and commercially-focused Head of Global Sales for this New Zealand-based company with global operations.
The successful applicant will have the ability to strategically and operationally drive the growth of the business. This is a business-critical role that enables and facilitates the company’s ambitious plans as well as driving a high performing culture within the business.
This New Zealand-based role will see you lead the global sales for this large and fast-growing organisation. The company has operations across New Zealand, Australia, North America, Asia, Europe, and South America. This is a large and varied role and we do need someone who is able to be dynamic, agile, and able to effectively lead a large global sales team.
We are looking for someone that can demonstrate that they have the commercial acumen to drive growth and help implement systems and structure to ensure the business remains a market leader.
The role will see you help integrate a new CRM system in the coming 12 to 18 months as the business invests further in systems. It is essential that you have a deep understanding of contract negotiations. You will be expected to be challenged and also learn about this large and complex business.
You will be leading a high calibre global sales team, who are building internal capability to ensure the company is capable of its ambitious growth targets. The successful person needs to be a strategic leader who can lead the team of roughly eight direct reports with a global team of 40 in total. It is essential that you can grow and develop the team and build future leaders within the business. We are also looking for someone who truly values and has championed Diversity and Inclusion in their previous roles.
This role will be key to driving the business forward and making it best in class. Although a global market leader in their industry, it is essential that you are able to help drive innovation across the business to ensure that the business remains on the cutting edge of technology and product development.
The growth of the business will come from a blend of organic growth as well as M&A type activity, so it would be seen as an advantage that you have good experience of leading the acquisition of other businesses.
Crucially, the successful person must understand the nature of working in a large business and have a good understanding of global cultures. You will be a robust, commercially-focused leader at the top of their game that has the ability to develop, drive, and operationalise the global sales strategy, and continue driving growth. You will have access to an extremely successful global team with extensive resources to ensure your success in this role.
The company has a fantastic culture and although a large multinational business, the New Zealand operations are integral to the continued success of the organisation. The company has been on a steady growth trajectory for a number of years and this role could lead to other opportunities within the global business in the near future. This role has come to fruition due to an internal promotion, so internal progression opportunities are very real.
