Are you a professional in compliance, looking for a fantastic new opportunity to help shape culture, new strategy and learn new skills?
It's an exciting time to join the team as we continue to grow and embed revenue compliance as a function at Waka Kotahi. Working closely with others in your team and developing relationships across the Regulatory Services group, you will carry out high quality audits and investigations to drive a high level of compliance.

**To be successful in this role, you will bring**:

- Proven experience undertaking investigations and/or audits in a regulatory environment
- Personal initiative and natural curiosity
- High level of integrity and trust and ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds
- An understanding of core regulatory legislation and the ability to interpret it
- The ability to successfully articulate evidence and recommendations
- Strong communication and organisational skills

Waka Kotahi is the primary regulator responsible for managing land transport safety and one of the regulators responsible for managing harms (including economic and environmental) in the land transport system.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
