**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
The Principal Advisor - Finance and Investments (Principal Advisor) supports the financial operations for Crown Regional Holdings Limited (previously known as Provincial Growth Fund Limited), a Schedule 4A Crown Entity. They work closely with Kānoa - Regional Economic Development & Investment Unit (REDIU), particularly the Investment team, and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) Finance Business Partnering team. The role reports to the Head of Finance Strategy and Investment - REDIU in the Finance + Performance Business Group.

You will be responsible for:

- Setting the financial and investment accounting policies and procedures;
- Completing financial reporting to a high standard;
- Ensuring that internal controls and taxation requirements are met; and
- Making continuous improvements to the way we work.

You will have an excellent knowledge of accounting standards especially in relation to concession and suspensory loans, and the accounting treatment of equity investments. You will need to work with a number of stakeholders and support the production of financial reports to board members. Attention to detail, good communication skills and working in an organised and proactive manner will be a real advantage.
