Te Whatu Ora Waitematā are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in youth health to work as part of the Enhanced School Based Health Services Programme.

This is a fixed term position to cover a staff member on parental leave, with an anticipated end date of December 2024. The hours of work are part time at 0.4FTE, working 32 hours per fortnight.

This role will work alongside designated secondary schools, providing high quality, effective and safe nursing care in the community to adolescents enrolled in the programme. Your key area of responsibility will be the Te Whatu Ora Waitematā area Enhanced School Based Health Services Programme.

You will be youth-friendly and focused as well as innovative, independent, and be able to engage with a range of stakeholders such as school management, School Based Health Service nurses regionally, General Practitioners, clinical psychology staff, Primary Health Organisations and Non-Government Organisations, to provide best practice clinical services across the Programme.

You will be a Registered Nurse who holds a current APC with the NZ Nursing Council, a post-graduate certificate in Youth Health, and has at least 5 years youth health clinical practice experience. It is a given that you be an excellent role model for youth health nursing and have an approachable and can-do manner.
