**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The primary focus of this role is to lead a team of communications professionals who deliver communications and engagement plans and activity reflective of national communications strategies and campaigns in the regions on time, and to budget.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- 5+ years in communication roles (including management of communications and engagement teams).
- Experience in the public sector is essential.
- Demonstrates strong relationship building, interpersonal, collaborative, and customer-focused skills and experience with proven success with engaging and influencing diverse groups.
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management and development of materials and ideas to achieve cut through and successful outcomes which support the strategic intent of an organisation.
