Our organization brings together local, district, regional, and national levels of service delivery under its regional divisions and district offices, ensuring continuity of services in the health system.

The Canterbury Regional Cancer & Haematology Service (CRCHS) is one of two tertiary cancer centers in the South Island, providing medical oncology services to Canterbury, South Canterbury, and West Coast districts.

We work closely with the University of Otago's Christchurch School of Medicine and Health Sciences, involving undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as active participation in local, national, and international basic and clinical research.

About The Role

This role involves caring for approximately 18,000 patients per year and delivering an average of 150 cancer treatments weekly.

Closer interaction with other cancer services across the district is facilitated through regular multi-disciplinary meetings.

The successful candidate will be required to hold RACP or an equivalent qualification that enables registration as a specialist medical oncologist by the Medical Council of New Zealand.

This role requires contributing to the on-call roster.

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per annum
