**The role**

We are on the quest for a motivated and driven North Island Operations Support Specialist to join our team. This vital position in the company provides support to the North Island Business Manager and will work closely with the Operations teams across the North Island to achieve a consistent way of working, drive our engagement and results, through productivity, initiatives, and efficiency.

You are operational focused, with an eye for detail that you can comfortably be able to develop and execute operational plans and strategies, strive for continuous improvement and always looking for opportunities for growth. Your strong time management, and ability to prioritise will set you up to succeed and deliver key targets. This will be achieved by maintaining accurate reporting and monitoring performance of the team and analysing of the business metrics and processes you have implemented.

Due to the nature of this role, there will be travel involved. You will be a strong communicator and your presence around the North Island work sites will be critical to build and strengthen strong connections with internal stakeholders. Been present will help to ensure continuity is happening around the business and that all teams are working efficiently and adhere to all company policies. Providing cover for Operations managers due leave periods will be required and you will be the driving force behind managing and reporting on OKR’s framework, guaranteeing actions are understood, executed and results reviewed.

Customer focus will be at the forefront of the business and working with the North Island Business manager to be looking at opportunities to consistently achieve and exceed exceptional levels of customer service, standards and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.

You will have a good understanding of financials, and budget and will be able to support the North Island Business manager with activity monitoring performance against budget and looking for opportunities to maximise profit.

**To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone with**:

- 3+ years extensive experience in all aspects of an operational business
- Exceptional level of communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven track record in driving operational performance and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Effective organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to set clear team goals and delegate tasks to meet deadlines
- Outstanding relationship-building skills
- Experience leading business improvement initiatives and projects
- Good commercial skills.
- Commitment to health and safety
