**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
We are looking for a Public Health Assistant to join our warm and friendly team. Auckland Regional Public Health Service investigates and manages notifiable diseases, outbreaks and epidemics in the community.
You will be a positive, empathetic and enthusiastic addition to our team. Your days might include helping at our BCG vaccination clinics for babies and young children, supporting clients taking medication for Tuberculosis (Directly Observed Therapy), transporting clients in the community to clinic, laboratory or radiology appointments, or any other duties - all in partnership with our Public Health Nurses.
We work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and communities across Auckland, so you will have the ability to work alongside the diverse population we serve.
Please note that this position is Monday to Friday, with weekend work (as required).

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) with a focus on Health assistance.
- Experience of working with people from other cultures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A team player with a positive attitude
- A full NZ drivers’ licence
- Physically active to meet the demands of the job visiting patients in the community
- Sound computer literacy
- Current CPR Certificate
