**Job Summary**

We are recruiting an Assistance Administrator to be part of the Assistance Coordinator team at Healix, based in Albany, Auckland.

The Assistance Coordinator team provides excellent customer service to our customers who require assistance for medical situations that may arise anywhere in the world. They ensure members receive the medically necessary care, guiding them through the appropriate processes and, in liaison with a range of professionals put care plans in place which may include; arranging treatment locally, facilitating air ambulances or commercial flights with qualified medical escorts as necessary. As the Assistance Administrator, you will be supporting the team in their roles.

Healix International provides medical and travel assistance 24/7 365 with our UK team providing service from 7am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday and our New Zealand providing the service for the UK overnight. The Assistance Administrator role is a 40hr/week role, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 6pm.

Some of your duties will entail:

- Ensure that any complaints, high risk, high profile or urgent cases are identified and escalated to case manager, Team Leaders, Operations Managers or Account Manager as appropriate.
- Providing support for the out-patient administration function.
- Generating new case files and adding data to the Case Management System (CMS).
- Obtaining information from third parties including GP practices in order to expedite the claims assessment process.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is proficient in the English language (a working proficiency of a second language will be advantageous).
- Is organised, methodical and thorough approach to work.
- Is knowledgeable and has experience of working within the travel insurance arena desired.
- Has an excellent attendance record and time-keeping.
- Shows initiative with a positive, can-do and flexible approach to all tasks.
- Has the ability to build positive relationships with their team, managers, clients and peers.
- Has the ability to communicate professionally, accurately, and effectively via all methods of communication.
- Has the ability to be responsive and empathetic to the needs of others
- Is positive and has a can-do approach to all tasks.
