The Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono was founded in 1994 as a non-profit, non-partisan organisation dedicated to building New Zealand’s links with Asia. The Foundation’s mission is to equip New Zealanders to thrive in Asia. It works in the areas of education, media, arts, business, research and Track II non-government diplomacy, entrepreneurship, leadership development and sport.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes:

- Minimum of two years’ journalism experience (in print, broadcast or and online media)
- Strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write a broad range of content
- The ability to produce content that can be used across a range of platforms, including visual material
- Confidence with social media and analytics
- Proactive, can-do attitude
- Comfortable building and maintaining relationships and expanding the current media network
- An interest in Asia and New Zealand’s relationship with Asia
