We are seeking non-training Surgical Registrars to
join us in 2024 as part of our Annual Recruitment intake.
Waitaha Canterbury District offers non-SET Surgical

**Registrar positions in a variety of surgical specialities**:

- Cardiothoracic
- General Surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Ophthalmology
- Otolaryngology
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Plastics and Reconstructive
- Urology
- Vascular, Endovascular and TransplantRuns are 6 months long with the majority of runs

To help us allocate you to the most appropriate

- Completed PGY2 year or equivalent
- Completion of your General Surgical Science Examination (GSSE)

- A keen passion for surgery
- You will have experience in a number of Surgical Services.
- Knowledge and commitment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how the
principles can be applied to health.
- A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and
skillset, both to assist Māori and minority groups.
- You must be eligible for general or provisional general
registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your
